Miranda Montellano

FOUNdER/ BOARD MEMBER

Miranda Montellano is an 8 year veteran of the United States Navy where she served as a registered nurse (RN) in emergency medicine, flight nursing, and labor and delivery. In 2012 she moved to Anacortes and began working as a labor and delivery nurse at Island Hospital, where she developed a love of the staff and community. She graduated from the University of Washington with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in 2015. After becoming a certified nurse-midwife (CNM), she worked in Seattle for 4 years before opening her private practice, Anacortes Midwifery Care. Miranda has spent the last four years supporting women and birth in this community while building relationships with Island Hospital and supportive services in the area.
