We are proud to offer a wide variety of classes, support groups, workshops, and events geared towards supporting women in all phases of life. There are numerous volunteers and professionals that have come together to provide expert classes and support for women in this community. Our goal is to provide you with OPTIONS so you and your family can find resources that suit your needs and goals. Some class links below will take you directly to the instructor’s site to sign up. Power Postpartum
You've gone through an incredible journey giving birth. This class gives an empowering overview for your health postpartum including nutrition, movement, and mindset....and how those can help support your rest and recovery as a parent.
You'll learn nutrition practices that are sane and designed with new mama life in mind. We'll cover options for a gradual return to movement and activity that will make you stronger and we'll discuss mindset shifts while navigating bodies that are different from before. You'll leave the class with an 8 Phase return to exercise program and a nutrition framework to support your goals with bite sized practices.
Whether you're weeks or years into your postpartum journey, or you're pregnant and looking ahead, this class is for you to develop your newfound power both physically and mentally as a mama.

Quarterly class for anyone wanting to learn more about menstruation. We’ll start with what’s happening in the body and then cover practical application: what’s normal, what isn’t, how to manage it all, along with the wide variety of menstrual products available and how to use them.

Nutrition for the Whole Family
What’s the number one nutrition strategy for your kids? Tacos…everybody loves them! But also…Having healthy habits yourself. Every month Health Coach Rebecca will break down a nutrition strategy and how to make it work for the whole family without the added anxiety. You’ll come out of each class with a sense of what is your responsibility and what is your children’s (so it’s not all on you) and a recipe that the whole family will want to try.
Offered occasionally on a Tuesday @ 6pm.
$20 for the whole family, kiddos welcome.

Weekend Childbirth Education
Prepare for your upcoming childbirth experience with evidence-based education with a certified nurse-midwife!
This intensive, 4-hour childbirth education class will cover:
Intro & Evidence-Based Care, Comfort Measures and Advocacy, Interventions and Birth Plans, Fourth Trimester & Labor Rehearsal
Offered every other month. Class limited to 6 birthers. Registration fee $200 for 2 people (you and a partner).

HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Education Course
Prepare for a calm and empowering birth!
HypnoBirthing® is a comprehensive childbirth education course designed to guide you through deep relaxation, visualization, and effective breathing techniques. It will also help you release fear, build confidence, and foster a peaceful and comfortable birth environment.
This course is ideal for expecting parents seeking a joyful, safe, gentle and informed birth journey. Register now to learn, bond with your baby, and create a serene childbirth experience!
FREE Information Sessions occasionally offered!
Course is weekly for 5 weeks, $435, offered quarterly.
Classes are Sundays from 3pm-5:30pm (2.5 hrs).

TOLAC/VBAC Class
Anna Dowling, MD is an OB/Gyn specializing in women's healthcare with Birth Story Obstetrics in Bellingham, WA. Join her for a free information session to discuss the intricacies of labor and birth after having had a prior cesarean birth. This 90 minute class will allow for a 30 minute Q&A session.
While TOLAC/VBAC is not offered at IslandHealth in Anacortes, we will discuss other hospital location options.

Strong As A Mother
Finding strength and support through pregnancy and infant loss.
A place to share in grief and loss. The death of a child is not something any parent should have to endure. The guilt and shame that a grieving mother carries after the loss of her child, no matter the gestation or age, is incredibly isolating and not meant to be carried alone. This group will provide support in sharing stories, ways we can honor our babies as we carry on with our lives, how to respond to tough questions in social situations, support through pregnancy after loss (PAL), and everything that bubbles up in between.
Meets MONTHLY on the third Tuesday of the month at 6pm. Led by Elizabeth Stout.

Feeding Babies Circle
A circle of connection. Parents and infants of all ages welcome, whether direct breastfeeding, pumping, or bottle feeding. We can answer basic questions, help with positioning and weigh your baby. Group members can share their wisdom & experience.
Meets weekly, Saturdays from 10:30-11:30am. Led by a lactation support professional.

Support group for parents and babies. Meet, share and support people in a similar life phase. Play mats are provided. Enjoy a cup of tea and relax with us. We occasionally have guest speakers to share their wisdom.

It's A Baby
It's time to bring baby home after birth, now what? Expert advice on what you need to know for the first 3 months of life.
Hear from a pediatric provider on common medical concerns in the first few weeks of life. Gain parenting, relationship and coping strategies from a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, learn infant message techniques, snd discuss feeding your baby with a lactation professional. Birthing persons and their support persons are welcome.

Preconception Prep
Ready to take the first steps to prepare your body for pregnancy? Come join us for a morning of learning and preparation.
Learn the basics of fertility and how you can prepare for this life transition. Learn how to eat for conception and pregnancy from Josette Curtis, RD. Gain knowledge about human fertility from nurse Nell Ryan. Ask questions of genetic counselor Heather Newman, and discuss current relationship dynamics and getting ready for parenthood with Amy Begnal, LMHC.

Baby Gear Swap during Shipwreck Fest!
Bring your unwanted, gently-used, clean baby gear during business hours (9am-5pm) Friday, July 14th or morning (7:30am-8am) Saturday, July 15th.
New Parents: come rummage and find free baby gear on Saturday, July 15th from 8am-12pm.
All unclaimed gear will be donated to charity after the event.
