Nell is a Family Nurse practitioner with 12 years experience in the health care field - 5 years as a nurse practitioner and 7 years as a nurse.  Most recently, she worked as a nurse practitioner caring for patients at Island Family Physicians in Anacortes. Prior to that, she worked for four years as the Assistant and Interim Medical Director at Alluvion Health in Great Falls, Montana, supervising medical provider staff and direct patient care. While in this role, Nell tripled the number of health care providers in the organization, greatly expanding access to primary care in the Great Falls community.  She completed her Post-Master’s Nurse Practitioner training at University of California San Francisco, Master’s of Nursing in Community Health at University of Washington and Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Marquette University. She completed a year-long Montana Medical Association physician leadership effectiveness executive coaching program. Her passions in health care include preventive care and wellness, with a particular interest in supporting women and their babies in the postpartum period.  She lives in Anacortes with her husband and two young daughters. She enjoys running, cooking and spending time in nature with her family.
